Musical Bingo
Music Bingo 1 is a game designed by a music therapist for the mature population(age 50+) who can recall songs from previous decades. The game is played like traditional bingo, but uses song titles instead of numbers. Music bingo is a fun spin on traditional bingo that allows your guests to jam out to snippets of their favourite songs while playing competitively against other music lovers! Also, there is an alternative version of this game called Drum Bingo. In this game, you only use drums, instruments like this one. Musical Bingo is a revolutionary event that's storming the east coast providing unforgettable nights to patrons of all ages. Everybody loves music.
Practicing music therapy during a time of social distancing and virtual connection has inspired our team to adapt our interventions and techniques.
One way we have found to connect is through virtual musical games. One of our current favorites is Musical Bingo. While it may look like a fun game on the outside (and it is!), it also is targeting several goal areas, such as receptive communication, problem solving, reading, auditory discrimination, and many more. When playing with a virtual group of friends and family, it promotes positive socialization and engagement.
